As complement to SYSTRA Philippines’ assistance to the LRT 1 South Extension Concessionaire (Light Rail Manila Corporation or LRMC) in their claims versus Grantors (Government of the Philippines) for non-compliance with Concession Agreement provisions,  SYSTRA was also requested to perform the following activities:

• Preparation of responses to the Independent Consultant’s (IC) certification, to reiterate and justify the bases for calculation of LRMC’s claims, especially those that were contested by the IC
• Identification of inaccuracies between certifications issued, as well as maintenance reports prepared by LRTA during the reference period; and, update costs and quantities of LRMC’s claim
• Detailed review and re-evaluation of claims
• Review of all items contained in the IC’s revised certification and related communications, and compare these with the claims submitted by LRMC
• Review of costings of the proposed LRVs to be rehabilitated
• Identify the LRVs that need restoration, based on their current condition and remaining life cycle
• Update costs and quantities and ensure no duplication of claims
